IATF 16949: 2016
What does IATF stand for?
The International Automotive Task Force is a group consisting of leading car manufacturers (BMW Group, Chrysler Group, Daimler AG, Fiat Group Automobiles, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, PSA Peugeot Citroën, Renault and Volkswagen AG) and five national associations AIAG (USA), ANFIA (Italy), FIEV (France), SMMT (UK), and VDA (Germany).
The aim of this international group is to agree in the area of basic requirements for the quality management system imposed mainly on direct suppliers of production materials, products or services.
The Group also defines policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the worldwide certification process of suppliers according to IATF 16949. IATF 16949: 2016 is an extension of ISO 9001: 2015 for automotive purposes and needs. The standard applies to a quality management system throughout the supply chain.
Therefore, if you want to supply OEMs, you will need to provide a certificate, ie proof of competence of your quality management system according to IATF 16949. We can help you with both the construction of the system and the training of employees!

We will perform an internal audit for you according to specific requirements (according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, ISO 13485, ISO 37001, etc.). The output will be an evaluation including strengths and opportunities for improvement, possible risks and a proposal for risk reduction measures.

We will prepare you for the certification audit. During the preparation and implementation of the certification audit, we will support you with our experience and knowledge, we can mediate communication between you and the auditor.

We will assess the conformity of the system at your supplier against the international ISO standard or against your requirements.
